The word church comes from the Greek work "ekklesia". The church began in the 1st century on the day of Pentecost recorded in the book of Acts Chapter 2. The church of Christ is the spiritual body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). We are an assembly of baptized believers who have answered God's call to come out of our former lives of sin and live to align our lives with God's purpose (Ephesians 5:8-10).
God designed the church of Christ to reflect and proclaim His love and mercy to the world around us (1 Peter 2:9-10). We do this by following God's commands and the example of Jesus our Lord (John 14:21-24, 15:10) Through visible obedience to God, we help make God's will known to the world (Ephesians 3:9-10). We become ambassadors to Christ by sharing God's love and reconciling message with the people we meet (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
When you visit the Oceanview church of Christ, you will be treated as our honored guest. People will greet you, introduce themselves and answer any immediate questions you may have such as, "Where is a class for my children?" or "Where can we sit?". The church is God's family and we welcome all visitors to attend our weekly services!

This event is from Friday - Sunday and includes a variety of activities such as keynote speaker(s), group activities, and opportunities for songs.
